San Antonio Report reveals that San Antonio is set to break ground on its first Educare School, a 25,000-square-foot early childhood education facility located on the Texas A&M University-San Antonio campus. The school will serve approximately 200 children, aiming to address the shortage of quality childcare options in the city’s South Side. Beyond providing direct services, Educare San Antonio will function as a teaching model, allowing current and prospective early childhood educators to observe and learn best practices.
The project is a collaborative effort involving organizations such as Early Matters, Pre-K 4 SA, Avance, and the Charles Butt Foundation, with funding from city, county, university, and philanthropic sources.
